A man was found brutally murdered on Monday morning in the French town of Pont-de-Metz, near Amiens, according to police sources confirming a report by Le Parisien.
The man was found with his throat slit and his body disembowelled. The body was staged in a crucifix position, AFP learned from police sources.
A passer-by discovered the body around 07:00 on a sports field in the small town located southwest of Amiens.
The Organised and Specialised Crime Division (DCOS) of Amiens is leading the investigation.
The Amiens prosecutor’s office has yet to respond to requests for comment from AFP.
