Cathay Pacific has resumed its direct flights between Brussels Airport and Hong Kong, the airline announced on Monday.

The service, which was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, previously operated successfully before 2020. Now, it is available again with four return flights per week using an Airbus A350-900.

In addition to Hong Kong, the Cathay Pacific global network will offer passengers access to more than 100 destinations across the Asia-Pacific region and Australia.

"We are delighted to welcome Cathay Pacific back to Brussels Airport," said Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport. "This direct flight to Hong Kong opens up new economic opportunities, boosts tourism, and strengthens ties between Belgium and Asia."

The CEO also sees the new addition as a way to strengthen the airport's reputation. "It also reinforces Brussels Airport’s role as a major international hub at the heart of Europe, offering our passengers even more travel options to Asia,” he said.
