A man was stabbed on Monday evening at Place de la Bourse in Brussels and taken to hospital, said Brussels fire brigade spokesman Walter Derieuw.
Emergency services were alerted at 20:06 yesterday evening.
Derieuw said: “A SMUR [Mobile Emergency and Resuscitation vehicle] and an ambulance were indeed sent to the scene. The injured person was evacuated to the hospital. I do not know his condition."
According to information communicated to the emergency number 112, the victim was stabbed. The precise circumstances of the incident are not yet known at this stage. No further information has been released.
