The façade of a house was shot at in the Brussels municipality of Molenbeek-Saint-Jean on Thursday night, according to various media outlets and confirmed by the local police in Brussels West.
Shortly before midnight, the police received a call from a resident of Rue de la Borne who had noticed several bullet holes in his façade. When police patrols arrived at the scene, they were unable to find any perpetrators. No victims were found either.
The Brussels Public Prosecutor's office was informed of the incident and has opened an investigation.
Since the beginning of the summer, Brussels has been shaken by 21 shootings, and since the start of the year, there have been 58 shootings. Many of the shootings that have taken place in recent weeks and months are linked to drug trafficking.
