Air Canada is canceling all flights, the company announced on Saturday, as a three-day strike by cabin crew began. Two departing flights have been canceled at Brussels Airport.
Approximately 130,000 passengers are affected per day of the strike. Air Canada strongly advises travelers not to go to the airports unless they have a ticket for another airline.
Air Canada normally operates around 700 flights a day. The company flies to 180 airports worldwide.
A flight to Toronto at 9:40 and one to Montreal at 10:00 were canceled on Saturday in Zaventem, according to the Brussels Airport website. An Air Canada flight from Montreal will still arrive, but another flight from Toronto has been canceled.
The strike plans became known on Wednesday after negotiations for a new collective labor agreement and higher wages reached an impasse.
