A young girl who suffered a serious fall during a pony riding competition last weekend in Brecht (province of Antwerp) has died from her injuries, the Rural riding clubs association reported on Saturday.
The incident occurred during the show jumping course. Seriously injured, the victim was taken to hospital, where she died on Friday. She was a member of the Lille club in the province of Antwerp.
