A Swiss man and a German man were killed on Saturday afternoon in a crash between two aircraft in Saint-Pons in south-eastern France. This was reported by the gendarmerie of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.

A tow plane and a glider took off shortly after 13:00 from Barcelonette airport in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department. The accident occurred a little later in the Ubaye valley. A vegetation fire broke out, but was quickly brought under control. The exact circumstances of the accident are still under investigation.
