Belgium now has more than 100,000 public charging stations for electric vehicles, according to the national electric mobility federation.
The 100,000-mark was passed at the end of July, EV Belgium reports. It notes, however that this figure does not include private installations.
Most of the public charging points are located in Flanders. Over 90,000 of them are regular chargers, while the rest are fast chargers.
The installation of charging stations has accelerated significantly in recent years due to the growing popularity of electric vehicles in the country.
Belgium is one of the top five European countries in terms of the number of chargers per electric vehicle.
