The weather in Belgium will be mostly cloudy in the north and centre on Friday, with occasional light rain or showers, according to the latest update from Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM).
Meanwhile, the south will start with sunny spells before turning cloudy with possible rain. Temperatures are expected to peak between 15°C and 20°C. Winds will generally be moderate, blowing from the north to north-west.
Tonight, widespread clouds will dominate, although temporary clearer skies are forecast near the coast. By the early hours, light rain might affect the north and north-west.
Overnight lows will range from 6°C to 10°C in the High Ardennes and 10°C to 15°C in other regions. Winds will weaken and shift to a variable direction before turning south-west by dawn, becoming moderate along the coast.
On Saturday morning, southern areas near the Sambre and Meuse Valley will still enjoy sunny spells, while much of Flanders will already see heavy cloud cover.
Later, the entire country will experience overcast skies with occasional light rain. Temperatures will reach 15°C to 18°C in the Ardennes and 18°C to 20°C elsewhere, potentially climbing to 21°C in the west. Winds will be light to moderate, starting from the west-south-west and turning north-north-west by afternoon.
Sunday’s weather will be sunnier overall, though cloudy intervals, mostly of the cumulus type, are expected. Temperatures will range from 17°C in the High Fens to 21°C or 22°C in central areas, with light to moderate north-east winds.
