Two Dutch brothers, aged 15 and 17, were found dead in their hotel room in Istanbul, Turkey, according to a spokesperson from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The father of the boys, a 57-year-old man, is currently in hospital.
The exact cause of the tragedy remains unclear. Turkish media report that the teenagers became unwell after dining near Taksim Square the previous evening.
Hotel staff discovered the brothers unresponsive in their room on Friday morning.
Local broadcaster NTV stated that the father was taken to hospital in shock but noted that, unlike his sons, he did not eat during the dinner in question.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
