A two-year-old child who fell from a third-floor window in Antwerp-Noord last week has died from her injuries, the Antwerp Public Prosecutor’s office has confirmed.
The incident has been described as a tragic accident.
Emergency responders had resuscitated the toddler at the scene before rushing her to hospital.
Although her condition stabilised briefly, it deteriorated again, and she passed away several days later.
