The second edition of the Brussels Open Air Festival kicks off this Saturday, promising a day filled with music, diversity, and celebration.

Organised by the City of Brussels and Brussels By Night, the event begins at 14:00 and will span five iconic locations across the city. While the festival ends at 22:00, the night will continue as Brussels’ renowned nightlife opens its doors for revellers.

“This open-air festival shines a spotlight on the diversity, energy, and vibrancy of Brussels’ club scene,” the organisers explained.

The debut edition in 2024 drew an impressive crowd of around 11,000 visitors. The festival is a successor of the Club Open Air project, launched in 2021 to support festival organisers in creating open-air events in the administrative heart of Brussels.

This year, more than 10,000 attendees are expected. The festival serves as a platform for emerging artists and collectives, showcasing projects selected by an expert jury. Out of 25 proposals submitted, nine “key players” were chosen to lead the event. The selected initiatives are supported in organising their individual showcases.

Five locations, each presenting distinct atmospheres and musical styles, will host the festival. At Poelaert Square, fans of hip-hop and afrobeats will enjoy the grooves, while Jean Rey Square will cater to enthusiasts of trance and hardgroove. Meanwhile, Brussels’ Congress area will immerse attendees in house and techno, featuring acts like Steffi & The Lady Machine and Herton.

With a packed line-up, unique venues, and a focus on inclusivity, the Brussels Open Air Festival promises to be an unmissable day for music lovers and party-goers alike.
