The Polish Air Force intercepted a Russian reconnaissance aircraft over the Baltic Sea on Friday, marking the third such incident within a week.
The Russian aircraft did not enter Polish airspace but was flying without a flight plan and had its communication instruments switched off.
Similar behaviour was observed during two other incidents earlier this week.
The Polish military stated that it believes this reflects an increase in Russia’s activity in the Baltic region.
