Air Canada to launch flights between Brussels and Halifax
An Air Canada Express plane sits on the tarmac after landing as Air Canada flights are slated to resume as early as this evening at Pierre-Elliott Trudeau Airport in Montreal, Quebec, on August 19, 2025. Air Canada flight attendants ended their strike after reaching a tentative deal with the carrier, which said it will work to restore full service for its 130,000 daily passengers. Roughly 10,000 flight attendants walked off the job after midnight Saturday, insisting Air Canada had failed to address their demands for higher pay and compensation for unpaid ground work, including during boarding. Air Canada will launch direct flights between Brussels and Halifax, Nova Scotia, starting this summer.

The airline already operates flights from Brussels Airport to Toronto and Montreal and is expanding its presence at the airport.

The Halifax flights will run three times per week, beginning on 19 June.

Air Canada aims to offer Canadian travellers convenient connections to other destinations across Europe and Africa via Brussels.
