The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has reached an agreement with the Ukrainian government on a new $8.2 billion aid programme over four years.
The funding is aimed at supporting macroeconomic and structural reforms to stabilise the economy of the war-torn country, the IMF stated.
The agreement is subject to approval by the IMF’s executive board.
It follows a $15 billion aid programme provided in March 2023 as part of a larger $122 billion international assistance package.
