Four people were injured on Monday morning in a head-on crash, with two passengers in critical condition.
The crash between a taxi and a van happened in Ghent around 07:15 on Gentstraat in Oostakker, near the bridge over the R4.
Local police said the taxi veered off its lane before colliding with the van.
Firefighters arrived at the scene to clear the roadway.
