Flights at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) remain suspended on Friday morning due to persistent freezing rain and ice, according to an airport spokesperson.
Ground staff treated runways and operational areas with de-icing agents throughout the night, but the efforts were unsuccessful, leaving surfaces dangerously slippery.
Take-offs and landings were already halted on Thursday evening because of icy conditions.
The resumption of air traffic remains uncertain, with no clear timeline provided.
