Three Belgians and a Slovene were injured on Saturday in a balloon accident near Ljubljana, the Slovene press agency, STA, have reported, quoting the Ljubljana police.
The injured were taken to hospital but their lives are not in danger, according to Belga news agency.
The accident occurred on Saturday morning in an area located near Škofljica. The balloon, which was carrying six passengers, had taken off from Bistra on a one-hour trip. Just as it was landing, the basket thudded to the ground.
The injured are the balloon’s 55-year-old Belgian pilot, two Belgian women aged 28 and 54 years, and a Slovene assistant pilot aged 67. Three of them reportedly suffered serious injuries.
