The number of patients with Covid-19 in Belgian hospitals has fallen for the first time in almost a month, according to non-consolidated figures from health institute Sciensano, communicated by the cabinet of Health Minister Frank Vandenbroucke on Sunday.
The number of patients has been rising steadily since January 1, when there were 1,704 people in hospitals as a result of Covid-19, until last Friday, when the counter stood at 3,826.
According to the figures announced Sunday, 3,755 Covid-19 patients were in hospitals on Saturday, the first drop in nearly a month.

The number of patients in intensive care rose slightly from 367 to 375.
During the period from January 20 to 26, 843,310 tests were performed, of which 390,810 proved positive. The positivity ratio for Belgium was 46.34% for this period.
