S.B., wife of Bandidos Gang leader Geert Frisson, faces charges of drug importation and money laundering in the high-profile Costa Case, currently being heard at the Tongeren Criminal Court.

She is accused of playing a decision-making role in her husband’s organisation, which was reportedly part of a network that imported cocaine worth about €3.5 billion into Belgium.

While the Prosecution has requested a 10-year prison sentence, the Defence is asking for a suspended sentence of no more than five years.

S.B's lawyer argues that procedural issues with the administration of evidence and unreasonable delays in the case should render the prosecution's case inadmissible.

These arguments were echoed in defence of A.B., her son, who is being tried alongside her on similar charges.

The defence team emphasised that while S.B. is Frisson’s partner, she was not his accomplice.

The prosecution alleges she was involved in retrieving 200 blocks of cocaine in Delft, Netherlands, intended for transport to Roermond and Frisson, known as “the old man.”

The defence countered that there was no proof “the old man” was in Belgium, nor evidence that the cocaine was delivered there.

Claims that S.B. attempted to launder money by investing in a luxury villa in Spain were also disputed by defence lawyers.

In closing arguments, the defence requested an acquittal based on the inadmissibility of the prosecution's case, or alternatively, a reduction of the ten-year prison sentence sought by prosecutors to five years, suspended.
