The price of heating oil will rise to a record high on Saturday, the Federal Public Service Economy announced on Friday.
The maximum price of heating oil (heating gas oil H0/H7) will then exceed €1.6 per litre for the first time for an order of at least 2,000 litres.
More precisely, the new maximum price is €1.60 per litre. That is 18.8 cents per litre more than the current price. For an order of 2,000 litres, this means a difference of €376.
Energy prices have risen sharply since the start of the war in the Middle East. For heating oil, this represents almost a doubling: on February 28, the maximum price of heating oil was €0.83 per litre.
In the tables of the petroleum federation Energia, which go back to 2008, heating oil was more expensive than €1.5 only once: in October 2022.
