Traffic on Easter weekend will be particularly heavy for anyone departing on 14, 15 and 16 April, and returning on Monday 18 April, according to figures from Touring Info Traffic agency on Monday.
The Easter weekend will also see a steep traffic increase on French, German, Swiss, Austrian, Spanish and Italian roads.
The agency expects intense traffic on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning in Belgium during the Easter weekend. The traffic organisation therefore advises leaving early on Friday morning or later in the evening, or on Saturday from noon onwards.

Elsewhere in Europe, traffic disruptions will be minimal.
Upon return, Touring expects very heavy traffic on Easter Monday throughout the afternoon and into the evening.
