The Brussels public prosecutor is investigating a complaint against Hollywood star Jean-Claude Van Damme. The 61-year-old actor is accused of assaulting a 33-year-old woman at an exclusive champagne bar in Brussels, according to Mediahuis newspapers.
The case dates back to 20 August, 2o21 and took place in the ritzy champagne bar Impérial in the centre of Brussels, which Van Damme is said to frequent. After some initial flirting, things turned sour when the actor attempted to assault the woman.
Van Damme is accused of touching the woman and asking her to have sex with him. The woman alleges that he pushed her into a toilet cubicle and tried to get her clothes off and force her to perform oral sex on him.

Yet the woman managed to escape and lodged a complaint after the incident. The public prosecutor of Brussels confirmed that an investigation is taking place against Jean-Claude Van Damme, and multiple people have been questioned.
The Hollywood star's management denies the allegation.
