From Sunday 1 May, the famous 'guinguettes' or summer bars in the parks of the Brussels-Capital Region will reopen for the summer season, until the end of September.

In addition to the usual bars Jeanne, André, Maurice and Henri in the Brussels parks, bar Eddy is the newcomer in the municipality of Auderghem this year, they announced on Facebook.

First, Bar André in Parc d'Osseghem in Laeken and Bar Fabiola in the Parc Roi Baudouin in Laeken will open their doors on 1 May, and Bar Maurice will follow in the Cinquantenaire Park on 5 May.

From 6 May, Henri will open in the Parc Georges Henri in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, and Bar Jeanne in the Parc du Rouge Cloître in Auderghem on 11 May.

In the guinguettes, you can eat or drink something, but there are also concerts and activities such as yoga or salsa.

New this year is the arrival of Eddy, a 'bicycle café' in the Jean Massart botanical garden. This summer, various festivities will take place in that garden because it is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Eddy opens on Sunday 22 May.

The summer bars will open seven days a week from 11:00 to 22:00. They will all close on 26 September.
