About 50 people protested outside the Iranian embassy in Brussels on Saturday to denounce a growing wave of executions and the repression of political prisoners in Iran.
The demonstrators held banners calling on European authorities to recognise the struggle of the Iranian people and resistance movements seeking to overthrow the clerical regime.
Participants also carried portraits of Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the NCRI, the National Council of Resistance of Iran.
Rajavi advocates abolishing the death penalty, establishing a democratic and secular republic, and creating an Iran free of nuclear weapons.
Protesters said the regime had not eased domestic repression despite external conflicts and crises.
Instead, they argued, the authorities had used the conflict to increase the number of executions and spread fear across Iranian society.
