Unknown suspects set fire to a building in Rue Heyvaert in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, Brussels, on Tuesday night, police said.
The Brussels West local police zone confirmed the incident on Thursday.
Police said emergency services were called at about 03:00 for what they described as a deliberate act of arson.
The fire was quickly brought under control. No one was injured.
An investigation has been opened to establish the exact circumstances of the incident.
