A Liège driver was violently attacked by two men and two women early Saturday morning, according to the Liège Public Prosecutor's Office on Sunday.
The four people were arguing on the highway and were believed to be under the influence of alcohol. The bus driver noticed the altercation and opened the doors of the bus to try and quell the argument.
However, the four individuals rushed the doors and then reportedly assaulted the driver.
One of the four aggressors slammed the cabin door on the face of the driver, who was also hit repeatedly in the face.

The exact motivation for the attack is yet to be determined while the case is under investigation. Meanwhile, a warrant has been put out for the arrest of one of the aggressors for intentional assault and battery.
