EDP Renewables Belgium presented projects for seven wind turbines in the municipalities of Beaumont and Sivry-Rance. If approved, the turbines would provide sufficient power for 46,000 households.
The preliminary project plan was presented on Tuesday evening, 21 June, in a preliminary public information meeting to gather local feedback, Belga News Agency reported. During the meeting, the procedures for applying for a permit were explained and attendees were given the opportunity to share their comments and suggestions, which would be considered in the future of the project.
EDP Renewables Belgium has already announced that it will apply for a permit for the installation of a measuring mast.

The project plans to build six of the seven wind turbines in Beaumont, and one more in Sivry-Rance. EDP Renewables already operates a wind farm in Beaumont.
