The legendary and Nobel Prize-winning American artist Bob Dylan will return to Belgium for a concert on October 15 at Forest National as part of his world tour "The Rough and Rowdy Ways", concert organizer Gracia announced on Friday.

This concert will be Dylan's first in Belgium for five and a half years. The tour follows the release in 2020 of the album "Rough and Rowdy Ways", the artist's 39th studio album. It forms part of what has been named his "Never Ending Tour", Dylan's live schedule which started in 1988 and will continue, presumably, as long as he is physically capable.

The artist and his backing band will pass through Europe after the United States. Another novelty is that this will be a "concert without telephones". A press release explains this decision: "We have created and delivered this phone-free experience on recent tours and we are confident that everyone in the audience will make the most of it. We open our eyes more and our senses are sharper when we let go of that technological crutch.”

Medical exemptions are however allowed for audience members who need their phone for their treatment.

Bob Dylan, aka Robert Allen Zimmerman, is 81 years old. The singer-songwriter, painter, sculptor, director, actor and poet has sold more than 110 million records worldwide. He is the author of classic songs like "Blowin' in the Wind", "The Times They Are a-Changin'" or "Like a Rolling Stone".

Ticket sales go live on 12 July. More information can be found here.
