Extinguishing operations at the Reprocover factory in Verviers, which caught fire late Sunday afternoon, lasted throughout the entire night, according to the Fire Brigades of Vesdre-Hoëgne and Plateau.
Around one hundred men from the emergency services were present during the night to try and extinguish the fire. On Monday morning, a cloud of smoke was still visibly emanating from the building.

The Petit-Rechain zoning is once again accessible except for avenue André Ernest, between rue Biolleux and rue Gelée, which will remain closed to traffic to allow staff to work in complete safety.
The companies in this perimeter are still accessible to employees, specified the fire brigade.
Currently, about thirty firefighters and a dozen civil protection agents are still on the scene of the incident which thankfully did not cause any injuries.
