Two teenagers will be taken before a Kortrijk investigating judge, on suspicion of violent theft in Wervik.
According to information obtained by the Public Prosecutor's Office of West Flanders, an 85-year-old cyclist on his way home was mugged at about 23:00 on Saturday evening.
The robbery was violent and both perpetrators fled once passers-by interfered.
The suspects (an 18 year-old man and woman) were apprehended and will appear before an investigating judge on charges of violent theft.
