More than one in ten of all employment contracts for workers under the age of 25 have been terminated this year, as more and more young people are taking advantage of labour market shortages, according to a survey by Acerta's recruitment office.
The survey based on information from more than 30,000 employees under the age of 25 showed that 11% of such work contracts have already been terminated this year, which is more than double (+136%) from the previous year and 181% more than in the pre-pandemic period (2019).

Nearly half of all departures (46%) are initiated by the employee, and 36% of contracts are ended by mutual agreement.
According to Acerta experts, this is due to a "new generation of young people daring to take their own careers into their own hands," and that "so many are now giving up employment with short-term practical advantages for long-term sustainable careers, affording greater career prospects and freedom."
