Flanders' Minister-President Jan Jambon (N-VA) travelled to Dublin on Monday for a two-day visit to enhance relations between his region and other countries in Northern Europe.
As part of the 2019 governmental agreement signed by N-VA, CD&V, and Open VLD, the Flemish Government intends to strengthen ties with northern nations such as the Netherlands, Germany, the Baltic states, Scandinavian countries, and Ireland.
Jan Jambon is currently in Ireland to build ties on cultural, intellectual, and tourism issues.

He travelled to the renowned university Trinity College on Monday morning and also met with Flemish students who were studying there. Following this, he will pay a visit to the port of Dublin on Tuesday.
Jambon is also expected to meet with Ireland's Ministers for Enterprise, Trade, and Employment, Leo Varadkar, and Tourism and Culture, Catherine Martin.
