Start of renovation work at the Monnaie royal theatre on Monday

The building used for workshops and administrative services at the Monnaie royal theatre in Brussels will be completely renovated, and work will start on Monday. This building, separate from the theatre itself, has two very different facades, a neoclassic one at 23 rue Léopold, and a modernist one at 41 rue Fossé aux Loups.

The renovation aims to make the work conditions for the administrative and technical staff at the theatre more comfortable, and the building more conform to fire safety regulations and more energy efficient.

The cost of this renovation is estimated at 7,5 million euros, paid for by Beliris.

It should be finished in about a year.

According to Beliris, it will not affect traffic in the area.
