A four-year-old boy who disappeared ten days ago and was found in a park pond in Mechelen has died of his injuries, confirmed Antwerp public prosecutor's office confirmed.
The child was on a school outing with his class on 4 October when he disappeared and was found shortly later in a small pond.
The young boy was resuscitated and taken to the hospital in critical condition, but sadly passed away on Friday.
