Several hundred protesters are expected to gather in front of the Engie-Electrabel offices in Namur at 12:00 on Thursday, disrupting public transport throughout Wallonia.
In the run-up to the nationwide strike on 9 November, the socialist union FGTB is conducting its own demonstration on Boulevard de Merckem in the Walloon city of Namur.
According to Jonathan Hubert, the union's regional secretary, around 400 people intend to demonstrate outside Engie-Electrabel's headquarters.
They have called on workers to protest the excess profits earned by the energy supplier since the onset of the energy crisis, as well as improved government measures to combat the current cost of living crisis.

Furthermore, TEC workers (the region's public transport operator) will be among those striking on Tuesday, causing travel disruptions in the following places: Walloon Brabant, Charleroi, Hainaut, Liege, Namur, and Luxembourg.
