On Thursday night, Zulte Waregem pulled off a surprise 3-2 win over RSC Anderlecht (RSCA) in the 13th round of the Jupiler Pro League, Belgium's First Division.
With ten men, RSCA squandered a 2-1 lead to Zulte who came back to win the game 3-2.
Zulte Waregem opened the scoring when they caught Anderlecht cold with a goal from Vossen, who headed into the corner of the goal from a Miroshi cross in the 5th minute.
In the 9th, Vossen once again came close after he hit the post on a counter-attack. Anderlecht responded with Vertonghen who tried his luck from distance in the 21st minute. In a competitive first half, Zulte's Offor hit the crossbar a few minutes later.
The referee and VAR, then became the protagonist of the game, ruling out a goal by Fabio Silva in the 33rd minute. Ten minutes later, he then awarded a penalty to Anderlecht, which was put away by the same Fabio Silva for 1-1.
