The Brussels Fire Brigade had to put out a kitchen fire in the City of Brussels municipality on Tuesday morning. While the apartment's inhabitants, a family of six, avoided injury, their apartment has been rendered uninhabitable.
At around 10:00 on Tuesday, the Brussels Fire Brigade was called to a fire at an apartment building on Avenue des Croix de Guerre in the City of Brussels municipality.
Once they entered the flat on the second floor of the building, the firefighters discovered a kitchen fire, of which the origins have been deemed accidental.

While the inhabitants, a family of six with four children, were rescued before the fire brigade's arrival, their apartment has been rendered uninhabitable.
However, the other residents in the building have been allowed to return to their homes after the firefighters finished their intervention at 12:00. They had proceeded to a ventilation of the flat and checked for any signs of potential carbon monoxide poisoning.
