Man dead following argument over fence in Wallonia

A man was arrested following a neighbourhood dispute gone wrong on Sunday in Grez-Doiceau, the Walloon Brabant prosecutor’s office said on Monday. The suspect stabbed two of his neighbours in an argument about a fence. One patient has died of their wounds.

According to initial reports, the dispute began on Sunday afternoon in the area of Avenue des Sapins, in the Walloon Brabant municipality of Grez-Doiceau. Following a heated dispute over a fence, the suspect, a man born in 1964, violently attacked two of his neighbours.

Armed with a knife, the suspect seriously injured one victim, a man born in 1963, before fatally stabbing a second victim, born in 1948, twice in the back.

An investigating judge has been assigned to the case and police are investigating the scene of the crime. An arrest warrant against the victim has been requested for the murder of one of his neighbours and the attempted murder of the second.
