Union Saint-Gilloise beat Zulte Waregem 4-0 on Sunday, extending their unbeaten run in the league to 17 matches. The victory was tinged with sadness, as star striker Dante Vanzeir said his goodbyes to the club ahead of his move to the New York Red Bulls.
The side from Brussels made five changes from their cup match against Royal Antwerp, including the club's latest addition Yorbe Vertessen, whom Union signed on loan from Dutch side PSV Eindhoven.
The Belgian striker immediately justified coach Karel Geraerts' choice to put him in the starting line-up by assisting Cameron Puertas after nine minutes of play to put Union ahead.
After half-time, Vertessen once again showed his quality with another assist in the 55th minute, this time for fellow striker Victor Boniface.
