The Kansas City Chiefs won the NFL Super Bowl on Sunday night, beating the Philadelphia Eagles 38 to 35 in Arizona for the final game of the American football season.
Super Bowl Sunday is somewhat of a national celebration in America. Families and friends make special game-day snacks and watch the event together. The night typically consists of snacking, drinking, and cheering for your team while also laughing at the specially made Super Bowl adverts – four of which were, this year, produced by the Belgian production house Caviar.
The Belgian production house is based in five different locations, one being Brussels. Caviar produced two commercials for Pepsi and one for Elf and Planters. Each of the commercials enlisted big Hollywood celebrities, such as Jennifer Coolidge and Ben Stiller.
The event began with American country singer Chris Stapleton performing the United States National Anthem, which made the Eagles coach emotional. To kick off the game, Philadelphia began with the ball and Jalen Hurts scored the first touchdown of the game. In response, Travis Kelce picked up 20 yards for the Chiefs, scoring a touchdown.
Rihanna's return
The Eagles were up 24 to 14 going into halftime. Rihanna performed this year's halftime show, revealing her second pregnancy. She opened her show in a red jumpsuit, in the air on one of the floating platforms while her energetic dancers dressed in white danced below her. She started off her show with her iconic song Better Have My Money and was able to condense 12 of her most famous songs into a 14-minute performance. The 34-year-old wrapped up the show with her song Diamonds.
