The Belgian Prime Minister thinks that there might be more attacks in Europe and perhaps even in Belgium. In an interview on Saturday (2 April) for La Libre Belgique he said that “a reform of the public administration will not solve anything in the fight against the terrorist threat.”
The current security level 3 “remains on a worrying level. We must make every effort to improve our capacity to act in the security area.”
Charles Michel notes that the coordination between the different public bodies concerned “certainly” must improve but adds that it is not a matter of changing the structure of the Belgian public administration. “Our priority is to make existing institutions function,” he underlines.
