Hidden Belgium: Bambino Central

Hidden Belgium: Bambino Central

Five locals came up with a plan for a new canteen space located near Central Station in Brussels. They called their little baby Bambino.

The Milan-Brussels architects Piovenifabi-Maniera did the interior. It’s a vast industrial space with plywood shelves, exposed ventilation pipes and designer benches. Functional with a touch of fun. Milan meets Brussels, you might want to say.

Linked to the Silversquare coworking space, Bambino is a flexible spot open throughout the day, Monday to Friday. You can drop in for a barista coffee, pick up a lunchtime sandwich or meet up with friends for an afterwork drink.

The concept looks like it is here to stay. As well as Bambino Central, the team have opened at four more addresses, all linked to Silversquare offices – in the European Quarter, Louise district, ULB neighbourhood and downtown Brussels.
