Union Saint-Gilloise beat Flemish Sint-Truiden 2-1 in the Jupiler Pro League on Sunday, coming from behind to win in the final minutes of the game.
While Union were back at their Joseph Marien stadium, they had to contend with missing nine players whose return had been delayed by the international break.
Nonetheless, the Brussels side showed no signs of being depleted in the first half as they dominated their Flemish opponents.
They had multiple chances to put themselves forward, including a shot from Dutch right-back Bart Nieuwkoop which Union is still convinced crossed the line.
However, Union rued their earlier inefficiency in front of goal after Sint-Truiden would score in the 57th minute following a well-executed counter-attack.
Union did not have to wait long for an equaliser though, with their captain Teddy Teuma scoring a deflected free-kick 15 minutes later to tie the game at 1-1.

As has often been the case for Union this season, a point is never enough when three are available, which saw them go all out in attack, an approach that would pay off after Cameron Puerta scored in the 89th minute to seal the win for Union.
The result sees Union remain in second place, still three points off league leaders Genk and five points from Royal Antwerp in third.
