Gasoline and diesel will become significantly more expensive in Belgium from Wednesday. Especially those who fill up the tank with petrol will feel the increase, as the price is rising to the highest level since November 2022.

The maximum price for petrol 95 (E10) will increase by 6.1 cents to €1,8450/L, reports the Federal Public Service (FPS) for Economy. For petrol 98 (E5) there will be an additional 6.9 cents, upping the maximum price to €2.006/L from Wednesday.

Diesel (B7) is also becoming more expensive: the price will increase by 3.6 cents to €1.8290/L – the most expensive since the start of February.

The maximum prices are set on the basis of rising quotations of oil products or bio-components on the international markets. Last week, it was already announced that fuel prices were going to rise, but these maximum prices are ultimately higher than expected.
