There’s a new place to enjoy good times in Brussels which is just a stone's throw from Place de la Trinité.

Châtelain has a new hotspot for “early birds and nighthawks”

Clair/Obscur is now making its mark in the heart of Châtelain in the old Alsatian building, which was formerly a beer bar. The management team behind this new venture are Woodpecker, who have certainly proven over the years that they know how to do it properly!

The concept is for “early birds and nighthawks” to gather both morning and night to have fun, no matter the time of day or night. This new place offers not only a gourmet menu based on generous homemade dishes, but also a wide choice of beers, ciders and artisanal fermented drinks of all kinds.

It makes a very cosy atmosphere during the day which is ideal for enjoying coffee and brunch.

On the dishes side, they are offering pancakes, eggs galore (Bénédicte, Turkish style, Huevos Rancheros style...), burger, homemade croquettes or appetiser boards. There is also their specialty, the French Dips - these are sandwiches topped with braised meats cooked for hours. Delicious!

In the evening, try the house drink, Clair/Obscur, a tangy white beer made in collaboration with the Brasserie de La Source. There is also Obscur Negroni for bittersweet lovers and homemade bissap, a drink of Senegalese origin based on hibiscus.

Clair/Obscur is at Rue de l'Aqueduc 61-63 in Brussels and is open every day from 9am until late.
