The first three months of 2023 have seen 11 people in Belgium become millionaires as an increased number of commercial actions have been launched to celebrate Lotto's 45th anniversary.
Since the start of the year, Belgium has seen a high number of "top tier" winners of the National Lottery draw game Lotto (which requires six winning figures) and Euromillions, the international lottery that requires seven correct numbers to win the jackpot.
In total, more than €20 million has been by people betting on the Lotto since January. The biggest win was €6,500,000 on 8 March, followed by €2,833,334 on 14 January – although the latter was split between three winners. The biggest win in the Lotto game history was €11,183,816 on 5 July 2014.
Meanwhile, two winners of the top tier Euromillions draw in 2023 were Belgians, winning jackpots of €145 million and €66 million, La Dernière Heure reports.

To celebrate the anniversary this year, the National Lottery is launching new offers, increasing the odds of getting lucky.
