It’s a tough climb up the hillside in Liège, but the view from the top is spectacular.
The cobbled footpath begins in the Parc Saint-Léonard, not far from the Grand Curtius museum. It climbs slowly up through the wood known as the Bois des Carmelites.
The trail is marked with small red arrows to keep you on the right route. You come to an iron staircase leading to a viewing platform high above the River Meuse with place names cut into the metal. The view is spectacular.
