There was a large explosion in a second floor flat in rue Grétry in Liège on Saturday afternoon. There were two casualties, according to Lieutenant-Colonel Luc Scevenels from the Fire department.
The cause of the explosion, which happened at around 4.45pm, is not yet known.
“Because of the extent of the damage, a plan of action has been put in place so we can have extra men at the scene”, explained Lieutenant-Colonel Luc Scevenels. He also said there are currently two known casualties.
