Traffic jams are expected this Friday as Critical Mass Brussels once again embarks on its organised cycling trip throughout the capital from 18:00, with several roads closed on Friday in anticipation of the event.
Hundreds of cyclists join Critical Mass every month to make their way through the city with the message that roads also belong to them.
The Brussels Police warned motorists via a Twitter post that several roads will be closed from 18:00 on Friday as a result of a cycling tour taking place.
The planned cycling route was also included in the tweet to make motorists aware of which streets will be closed.
Critical Mass is a worldwide movement of cyclists who gather around the world on the last Friday of every month to participate in a "ride-out" starting at 18:00.
